When and where is the ESHIP Summit?

The ESHIP Summit is July 11–13, 2018 at the Kansas City Convention Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Who should attend the ESHIP Summit?

Those who have been doing this work for years and take a collaborative, system-wide approach to fostering entrepreneurship.

Those who are ready to come and contribute ideas, talent, tools and case studies to advance the field of ecosystem building.

Those who take a holistic and collaborative approach to building support systems for entrepreneurs.

Those who work to transform their community and increase its capacity for change.

What will we be doing?

This event will not be a typical conference. No panels, no keynotes, no endless lineup of speakers, but instead, participants will work together – hands-on, creatively and boldly – share what they are working on, collaborate on building the emerging field and connect with practitioners from across the globe. No panels, no politics, no pretense.  We seek practical results. We will continue to update the ESHIP Summit Agenda as new content is added.

What is the cost of an ESHIP Summit registration?

There is a $225 registration fee, which covers  Summit participation, dinner Wednesday evening and breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

We know many emerging ecosystem builders have challenges finding ways to fund your work. We do not want the Summit registration fee or travel expenses to be a barrier to your participation. We are offering a limited number of scholarships to cover the registration and for some, travel and accommodations. Apply for a scholarship. 

I did not receive an invitation; can I still attend the ESHIP Summit?

Registration for the 2018 ESHIP Summit will open to the general public May 1, 2018, and tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. 

Can someone else from my organization attend?

With limited space and to ensure diversity in attendees, we are kindly asking a maximum of two representatives to join us from any one organization.

What do I do once I have registered?

Once you have registered, please make your travel plans and be on the lookout for an email with more information about the event. We have arranged for a block of rooms at the downtown Kansas City Marriott at a discounted rate of $169/night for ESHIP Summit attendees. These rooms are limited, so book today. 

What else will I have to pay for?

Accommodation and transportation costs are the responsibility of each attendee. Once you arrive at the ESHIP Summit, all meals except for Thursday night’s dinner will be covered. Activities will be within walking distance or accessible via public transportation.

What is the refund policy?

We understand plans may change, but to receive a refund of your registration fee, you must cancel by contacting us before June 13. If you received a scholarship and can’t attend, we would appreciate notice before June 1 so that we may reallocate the scholarship to another person on the waiting list.
